The efforts of Madrid-born Head Chef Roberto Fernandez, who spent three months creating this new tapas menu, pay off with an exceptional variety of traditional tapas. The slow-cooked beef tripe stew—Chef Fernandez’s personal favourite—chalks up points in our book for its tender texture and toothsome flavours. Ideal for nibbling among friends, order the stuffed piquillos peppers with seafood, codfish croquettes laced with coriander sauce and the pulpo a feira—a traditional Spanish octopus dish deftly seasoned with Pimenton, salt and extra olive virgin oil.

AFC Kitchen Studio
The Asian Food Channel (AFC) has taken a giant leap from showcasing Asian epicurean treats on their television network to bringing it right to the heart of Orchard Road. The AFC Kitchen Studio is Singapore’s very first built-in concept showroom, featuring a gleaming range of built-in kitchen home electronics and appliances by LG Built-in Appliance Asia. A host of culinary adventures are offered at the studio: culinary master classes, demonstrations by stellar celebrity chefs, and a retail store with the hottest culinary products and kitchen gadgets. An in-house cafĂ©, decked in cheery shades of lemon yellow and lime green, is the perfect place for an afternoon tete a tete with a cuppa, cakes and pastries.

Who is Charly T? His identity is shrouded in mystery, but we’re quite certain that the man is part-traveller, part-gastronome. This casual eatery, located beside The Cathay, boasts a one-of-a-kind concept in Singapore. The menu is a broad compilation of Charly T’s favourite home-style recipes amassed from his equally extensive travels around the world. Having mastered the art of preparing rotisserie-style chicken in Hamburg, Charly T’s Famous Rotisserie Chicken is moist, succulent and packed with finger-lickin’ flavour. While you may not require any condiments to flavour the dishes, Charly T, has concocted a range of “secret sauces” that are winners in their own right. We particularly love the creamy roasted sesame and the ginger & lemon Japanese soy sauces.

Gattopardo
