Man Fu Yuan kickstarts the hairy crab season, with the freshwater crustaceans guest-starring in their menu from 15 October to 30 November 2009. Prepared by Hong Kong Masterchef Sunny Kong, guests may take their pick from a selection of 12 lip-smacking creations from the a la carte menu, which includes beer-poached hairy crab served with black vinegar, and braised shark’s fin with sun-dried scallops and hairy crab meat. Chef Kong’s skills in making the most of this annual delicacy are also on display in the deluxe and premium set menus, which are priced at $128 and $158 per person respectively.
